The test programme behind the performance claims
Every durability claim on this site traces to one of the methods below. This page sets out which method underwrites which claim and what each one governs in service. Measured values are issued per project with the reports and certificates of compliance.
Methods, and what each one governs
The mesh and finished bag are validated against ASTM, EN, and ISO methods, with results validated by TRI Environmental, SGS and GTS.

How long the mesh lasts, and on what condition
Both figures come from retained-strength testing after UV, hydrolysis, and oxidation exposure. Each one depends on the condition stated beside it — the 50–100 year figure assumes the bag is covered within a month of installation, so it is not a number to read across to permanently exposed armor.

For armor designed to sit permanently exposed above the waterline, ask us to confirm the design life for that exposure rather than applying the covered figure. Send the project details and we will answer against your actual exposure condition.
What we do not claim
FES Solutions does not hold a standing product certification, an agency approval, or a place on a national spec list, and no rock bag is certified against a single national product standard. Any supplier telling you otherwise is worth a second question.
What exists instead is this test programme — recognised ASTM, EN, and ISO methods run by independent laboratories — and a record of meeting project requirements on a project-by-project basis. For a submittal, that is the evidence a reviewing engineer actually assesses: the method, the laboratory, and the report for the supplied lot.
Measured values come with the documents
We do not publish numeric test results on this page. Laboratory values are reported against a specific lot, method revision, and conditioning regime, and a number lifted out of that context is not something you can put in a specification package and defend.
Full reports and certificates of compliance are issued for project documentation on request — including for state DOT and municipal submittals. Tell us the project and the reviewing agency and we will send the set that matches the standards your specification cites.

- The material declaration — raschel-weave virgin polyester, mesh aperture, and rope construction
