Our story

From the energy industry to the erosion frontline.

FES Solutions was founded in 2006, originally serving the energy industry. Over the past decade the company sharpened its focus onto a single, stubborn problem that showed up on project after project across our team's careers — protecting structures and land from erosion and scour forces.

That focus became the Texas Tuff Rock Bag™: a flexible armor unit that goes in where coffer dams stall and rigid systems can't conform. Today FES Solutions LLC is a Texas-registered company serving clients worldwide, with manufacturing in Asia and a global logistics network of warehouses positioned to reach projects fast.

Leadership

Misa H.

Founder, FES Solutions

Misa H. founded FES Solutions in 2006 and has led its evolution into erosion and scour protection over the past decade. Before focusing on the Texas Tuff Rock Bag™, Misa built a career spanning property and real-estate development, multi-family construction, road and bridge construction supply, and flood-plain design and mitigation — work that ran, again and again, into the same problem: protecting structures and land from erosion and scour forces. That cross-industry, cross-continent background — with time lived and worked across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States — shapes how FES approaches each site today: as a placement problem to be solved simply, not a rigid system to be forced onto the ground.

FES leadership brings a technical and commercial background to the work — including degrees in physics and geophysics and a master's in business and economics — spanning civil, marine, and infrastructure projects across four continents.

Technical expertise

What makes a rock bag the right call.

Against gabions, riprap, blockstone, and poured concrete, the Texas Tuff Rock Bag™ wins on placement — the part of the job where rigid systems cost time and money:

  • Filled in a repeatable, manufacturing-style process — simple, quick, and consistent
  • No site preparation required for placement
  • Works in still or moving water, fresh or salt
  • A single point-of-connection ring makes placement fast and controlled

Tested and accepted

The rock bags are tested by globally-rated laboratories to industry ASTM and ISO specifications, with results validated by TRI Environmental/SGS/GTS. They've been accepted by agencies around the world — including Departments of Transportation and Fish & Wildlife organizations.
