Texas Tuff Rock Logs Product Description
Texas Tuff Rock Log nets filled with rock are a robust and permanent revetment for use around reservoirs, shorelines, lakes edges, streams and riverbanks. They are a tubular revetment consisting of small stones retained within a high strength polyethylene net.
The Rock Roll comes is 6'-7"long x 1' diameter (2 meter x 30cm).
The are cost-effective revetments that are suitable alternatives to riprap and gabions in many scour applications.
Texas Tuff Rock Logs provide an instant flexible solution to many scour problems particularly below low water level where pure bioengineering techniques may not function.
They accrete silt due to small stone size and can be fully vegetated.
When joined together, Texas Tuff Rock Logs can form a Rock Mattress capable of resisting high velocities and shear stress up to 1200 N/m2 in high energy river situations.
When used in conjunction with coir rolls, coir pallets or live willow, Texas Tuff Rock Logs provide a solution which can support a healthy invertebrate and even native crawfish populations.
